Who ever heard of theatre for babies?

Why would anyone do a play for children under the age of three?

Machine Theatre is giving Charlotte audiences a chance to find out by presenting wee by PlayPlay! for a limited engagement at Spirit Square.  Before they can even walk or talk, infants and toddlers can become surprisingly enthralled by the intimacy only a live theatre experience can offer.  Actors engage young audiences with sights and sounds crafted specifically for them.  Astonished parents look on, participate and share the wonder with their little ones.

PlayPlay! is the regional pioneer of this startling new theatre movement that is sweeping the nation. Machine is bringing wee to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center December 8, 9, and 10.  For five performances only, Duke Energy Theatre will come alive with little ones.  PlayPlay! Theatre’s premiere, Uh-Oh! played to sold-out houses in Charlotte last June.  Their second original production wee illustrates how life’s greatest gifts sometimes come in the smallest packages.

Perfect for a first theatre experience, come bring a little friend and see the world through fresh eyes - only 250 tickets available.

Machine Theatre is a group of actors, directors, designers, writers, musicians, and artisans creating new theatrical experiences for Charlotte, North Carolina and beyond.  We are committed to the evolution of the performing arts through generation of new works for the stage, inventive adaptation of classic texts, and ensemble training.
